About the artist and his art…
My inspirations come from life, nature, the old masters and from contemporary artists, specially pop or low brow surrealism. I express my inner self more succinctly through painting. I hope to inspire people to heighten their senses by feeling the passion I bring to my art. My satisfaction and enthusiasm came from my continued artistic discovery and positive public feedback to further expand creatively and produce innovative art.
For this show titled - ‘Kaleidoscope’, I painted women fused with swarms of butterflies with their multicolored wing patterns by weaving them together to create the resulting images. I incorporated skulls with butterfly winged imagery as symbols of colorful delicate decay morbid yet amiable.
(*Kaleidoscope - Greek ‘kalos’ beautiful + ‘eidos’ form - any complex pattern of frequent changing shapes and colors. Also, means a group or swarm of butterflies).
