THE SHOW
With images, Barbara gathered from photography of urban settings, she carved them into Linoleum, inked and printed in a press on paper.
The process she used a process called Chine Colle with the linocut prints. Chine Colle is a kind of collage in printing that includes colored rice paper, hand made papers, and other one-of-a-kind materials that add rich color and sometimes texture to the linocuts.
Barbara’s content is drawn from her life and environment, suggesting her movement through the city. Weather, pollution, and, Climate change inform my imagery and palate.
“My prints are about self expression and exploring what speaks to me and why. The joy and evolution of creating is what I’m seeking.”
