This image was taken on an early morning in the Botanical Gardens of Strybing Arboretum in Golden Gate Park, where I photographed several mornings a week during the early 1990s. It exemplifies my interest in the way light interplays with the colors and forms of nature,hinting at or clearly expressing human emotions, as variable as the transformations of the natural world.

I have been photographing for over 30 years, using film and a 35mmNikon camera.
